Laura Montesi

Laura is a Sociocultural anthropologist, specialized in health issues.


Her work analyzes links between biology and society, with an emphasis on the long-lasting effects that social inequalities have on bodies.


She works as an academic and an activist, and has collaborated with grassroots organizations that advocate for the respect and promotion of human rights.


She follows with interest topics such as public health, food security and sovereignty, environmental justice, linguistic rights, and intercultural education, as well as gender and feminism in multicultural territories.
